How to tag

Picture
If you want to pick up your unsold items after the sale ends, your tags MUST BE HIGHLIGHTED on the right side edge with your highlighter color. No exceptions. All items with tags NOT highlighted will be donated. Questions? Just ask!

Basic tagging tips

PRINT tags on WHITE CARD STOCK... 65lb or heavier will work best! Please use the better, thicker paper. You don't want your tag to fall off or rip. Please print your tags the size that they automatically appear, 6 to a page, approx. 3x3. (Do not shrink them.)

Attach tags in a way that won’t damage your item, and where the tag can easily be seen. There are so many creative ways you can tag! Safety pins, ribbon, tape, painters tape, etc.

Tip: Your goal is to sell all of your items! Clean, neat & competitively priced items sell better! Be sure to check the “half price” option on your tags for an even better chance at selling your items before the sale ends!

Text, email or FB message with questions! We’re here to help.

Supplies you may need: scissors to cut tags, safety pins, rubber bands, ribbon, large ziplock bags, tape, painters tape, highlighter if not donating, etc.

Tagging Clothes 101

Safety pins or a tagging gun can be used.

Tags should be attached on the right hand side while you’re facing the garment, or in the neck area as long as it’s hanging out and is visible. We need to be able to clearly see all tags.

Places you can tag: in the existing tag, button holes, in the collar to the right side, under the right arm, in the zipper of the shirt, belt loops, draw string, etc.

Tagging tip: is the item new w/tags? Just add your Wee Ones tag to the new tag! (example picture below)

*Try to avoid making holes in the garment.
*Just ask if you’re not sure and we can help with tag placement!

Be mindful when using a tagging gun, they are great and save time but can ruin clothing and make it unsellable. You don’t want the tagging gun to make holes and then you loose money- ask us for tips!

Hangers should be facing open to the left, just like a ? (Question mark).

✔️ Tag hanging outside the item & easy to see.

❌ Don’t put the tag inside the item.
Picture
❌ Please do NOT put safety pins or tagging guns through the middle of your clothing item. This will most likely damage your item & leave holes.

Tagging guns

Tagging guns are a blessing- BUT- be very careful where you place the tag when using a tagging gun. It can and will ruin your clothing. Go into the existing tag OR go into the seam inside the shirt. (see pictures for examples) Don’t go directly into the clothing with a tagging gun.

Toys

⬆️ Attach to any hole in the toy with a safety pin or ribbon
Picture
⬆️ Use tape to attach the tag. Please make sure that the tape will not damage the toy when it is peeled off! (Example: don’t put it on top of a sticker or paper.)

⬆️ For bags of toys, pin or tape the tag to the bag.

⬆️ Wrap puzzles in plastic wrap, then tape the tag to the outside.

Shoes

These boots didn’t have a way to attach together, so we just used a large rubberband & attached the tag to it.

Items in bags

For items in bags, tags can be taped or safety pinned to the bag.

Books

Use painters tape to attach tags to books. The painters tape will peel off easily without damaging the book.

If you have a set of books in a bag, tape the tag to the bag.
